PURPOSE: Provided is a secondary lithium battery which prevents the leakage of the electrolyte at the joining part of the electrode tap by enhanced tight sealing of the joint part enclosing the assembly of the electrodes and the electrode tap which withdraws the electrode tap to the joint part. CONSTITUTION: The battery comprises; an electrode assembly(30) containing electrode taps as terminals; a case(40) in which the above electrode assembly is placed and which has a sealing part having the protruded electrode taps at its side edge; and a tap tape of wedge shape connected to the top and bottom part of the above electrode tap and placed with the inclination surface, facing each other between the sealing parts of the above case.
