LIGHTNING ARRESTER FOR POWER SOURCE

PURPOSE: A lightning arrester for a power source is provided to simultaneously eliminate the over voltage and over current from a power input line by using a line breaker provided in the lightning arrester to block the supply of the power. CONSTITUTION: A line isolation circuit unit(100) isolates a power of a lightning arrester according to an operation of a user. A short-circuit high current protecting circuit unit(110) separates a power input line from the lightning arrester when a surge voltage exceeding the amount of the lightning arrester flows in or a high voltage is continuously inputted. A lightning and noise eliminating circuit(120) is comprised of a combination of lightning devices connected in parallel to restrain or eliminate the high voltage or noise flowed in through the short-circuit high current protecting circuit unit(110). A self-test circuit unit(130) checks whether the short-circuit high current protecting circuit unit(110) and the lightning and noise eliminating circuit(120) perform their operation at a steady state, displays the checked result, and transfers the present state of the lightning arrester to an external.
