PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control plural kinds of low-order devices of different resolutions without changing the control program of a high-order device. SOLUTION: In a printing control system, by which a host computer 500 and a printer system 100 are connected to enable two-way communications, the printer system 100 stores parameter information for every machine type, which is control information, on a ROM 411 and according to an instruction from the host computer 500, that stored parameter for every machine type is transmitted to the host computer 500 and stored in a memory. While using the parameter for every machine type stored in that memory, the host computer 500 controls printing by changing the parameter of the printer driver.
