PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, at a low cost an image processor that applies MTF correction (spatial frequency correction) to an image which depends on the image. SOLUTION: The image processor selects filter data, having a proper spatial frequency characteristics for each area, to apply spatial filter processing to the data, based on an area discrimination signal and a color area discrimination signal, with respect to a received color image signal. Since a proper filter, corresponding to the image area and the color area can be selected, proper MTF correction can be attained, without the need for making a significant revision to the conventional configuration. |
