PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roadside-vehicle radio communication system, where communication interruption due to shadowing and deterioration of communication quality which is to be caused by fading are eliminated. SOLUTION: In this roadside-vehicle radio communication system, a roadside base station is provided with first antenna equipment covering the whole radio zone of the base station, first radio communication equipment connected with the first antenna equipment, second antenna equipment covering a part of zone where possibility of generation of shadowing is high among the radio zone, and second radio communication equipment connected with the second antenna equipment. The first radio communication equipment and the second radio communication equipment perform dual-station transmission, where signals having the same contents are transmitted in the same channel by changing transmission timing. Thereby communication interruption due to shadowing is prevented, and degradation of communication quality which is to be caused by fading can be prevented, in a second radio zone where signals are overlapped. As a means of changing transmission timing, a delay line using an optical fiber is used, or a delay circuit is used in a control station.
