PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily retrieve the destination of calling by displaying the destination of calling in an easily confirmable format. SOLUTION: A portable telephone 1 stores facial picture data at the destination of calling in a telephone book memory 91 by making the data correspond to the destination of calling identification data, and displays the facial picture data in a prescribed order such as the order of Japanese syllabary of registered persons' names to be displayed. In retrieving the destination of calling, the facial picture data are selected, and the corresponding destination of calling identification data are selected. Thus, it is possible to more easily retrieve the destination of calling by displaying the easily recognizable facial picture data compared with the case that it is necessary to select the destination of calling by displaying character data such as a name and telephone number.
