PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect-proof device for a vending machine preventing insects from gathering to the illumination of an exhibition chamber or an advertisement section to give a dirty impression to users, preventing insects from infiltrating into the exhibition chamber, and preventing a trouble that an insect- proof effect is lost when the effective period of an insecticide expires or it is forgotten to be inserted. SOLUTION: An insect repellent is contained in a gap cover material 8 covering the gap of the exhibition chamber 5 in which commodity samples 4 are exhibited, and insects are prevented from entering the exhibition chamber 5 from the gap even when the inside of the exhibition chamber 5 is illuminated. An ultraviolet ray shielding material is contained in a transparent decorative panel 6 provided on an outer door 3. Ultraviolet rays are not radiated to the outside from the decorative panel 6, and insects rarely gather to the decorative panel 6 even when it is illuminated.
