PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a local program providing system that can record programs served in parallel within the same time zone and allows users to utilize the recorded programs in common. SOLUTION: The local program providing system of this invention having a satellite broadcast receiver 1 that receives a program sent through satellite broadcast, a video recorder 3 that records the program received by the satellite broadcast receiver 1 on the basis of a video recording instruction, and a reproducing device 4 that reproduces the program recorded by the video recorder 3 on the basis of a reproduction instruction, is provided with a reservation instruction terminal 9 that transmits the program reservation instruction through a communication network in response to the entry of a user, a reservation controller 2 that executes the video recording instruction for the video recorder 3 on the basis of the program reservation instruction, a reproduction instruction terminal 12 that transmits the program reproduction instruction via the communication network in response to the input of the user, a reproduction controller 5 that executes the reproduction instruction for the reproducing device 4 on the basis of the program reproduction instruction, and a reproduction terminal 11 that receives and displays the program reproduced by the reproducing device 4 and distributed through a CATV network or a FWA(Fixed Wireless Access) network.
