PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To build up a pulse power generator of a semiconductor opening switch method that uses a resonance circuit, a magnetic switch formed by winding a coil on a magnetic substance and a pulse transformer without using a solid-state element short-circuit switch. SOLUTION: The resonance circuit 2 obtains a voltage which is twice that of a commercial frequency power supply 1. One of the magnetic switches 3, placed immediately after the circuit 2 and each consisting of a saturable inductor, is short-circuited, two pulse transformers 4 amplifies the voltage at a multiple of 200, and the resulting voltage charges up two capacitors 5. After that, one of the pulse transformers is saturated, a high voltage across the two capacitors to charge up a capacitor 6. A magnetic switch 7 is saturated at the same time, a reverse current is supplied to a semiconductor opening switch 8 to interrupt the current flowing therethrough, resulting in applying a pulse power to a load resistor 9. The applied voltage is measured by a voltage- measuring location 10. Placing a switching element and a frequency converter just after the commercial frequency power supply 1 can control the frequency and the application time. |
