<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized transformer of the barrier mold type, in which resin is put into close contact with an insulating tape between a primary winding and a secondary winding, for improving reliability. SOLUTION: In a barrier mold transformer, a coil assembly comprising a primary winding 1, wound around a coil bobbin 7 and a secondary winding 2 wound thereon, with an insulating tape 3 between the primary winding 1 and the secondary winding 2, is received in a case and the case is packed with resin 4 by vacuum void-less packing. The resin and the insulating tape 3 are made of the same kind of material. Both ends of the insulating tape 3 are curved to prevent the winding 2 from dropping, to thereby achieve high reliability and long service life.</p> |
