<p>A heat exchanger for pressed grapes has pipe section containing inner duct for heat exchange fluid, outer shell and insulating sleeve, is new. The heat exchanger consists of a pipe section (7) with end connections (8, 9) for a pump or similar at one end and a subsequent processing unit at the other, a duct (11) with a spiral outer surface (12) inside the pipe section to carry a heat exchange (heating or cooling) fluid, an outer shell (17) with inner surface chicanes (19) to give the circulating fluid a spiral motion, and a sleeve (22) of an insulating material round the shell. The heat exchanger is designed to be positioned vertically or at an angle, with the fluid circulating in the opposite direction to the pressed grapes.</p> |
