PURPOSE: Provided is an apparatus for washing a sealing jacket for electric furnace gas cooling, whereby it is possible to reduce the pausing period of electric furnace, thereby preventing drop of productivity, and to prevent explosion of the furnace. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a sealing jacket(21) having the closed bottom and the open top; a sealing plate(21) provided with an overflow outlet(31); a piping(50) for distributing cooling water, disposed along the outer circumference of the sealing jacket(20); a plurality of nozzles(51), connected to the piping(51) and disposed across the bottom of the sealing jacket(20); and a slope plate(52), disposed in the font of the nozzles(51) and fixed at an angle to the rear wall of the bottom of the sealing jacket(20).
