摘要 PURPOSE: An 8-shaped optical fiber pulse laser using an asymmetric non-linear optical loop mirror is provided to generate stably a pulse train by using a DI-NOLM(Nonlinear Optical Loop Mirror). CONSTITUTION: A laser diode(100), a WDM coupler(150), an EDF(Erbium Doped Fiber)(200), an optical isolator(250), a BPF(Band Pass Filter)(300), an output coupler(350), a DCF(Dispersion Compensated Fiber)(450), and a PC(Pulse Chopping)(500) are formed in a linear loop region of a 8-shaped optical fiber. An SMF(Single Mode Fiber)(550), a DSF(Dispersion Shifted Fiber)(600), and a PC(Pulse Chopping)(500) are formed in a non-linear loop region of the 8-shaped optical fiber. An amplifying portion using the EDF(200) is formed in the linear loop region of the 8-shaped optical fiber. A DI-NOLM is located in the non-linear loop region of the 8-shaped optical fiber in order to perform a switching function.
