Photoconductor carrier has surface cut to mirror surface and smoothed so surface irregularities have height of no more than 0.5 micrometer to prevent rupture of photoconductor during charging and prevent image defects. Organic light sensitive layer is formed on the carrier surface. Aluminum tube for photoconductor carrier is manufactured by heat extrusion and cold drawing to diameter of 30 mm and thickness of 0.75 mm. Its surface is smoothed to mirror surface using natural diamond tip cutter or artificial polycrystal diamond tip cutter, to have irregularities height of 0.2 to 0.43 micrometer.
