PURPOSE: A flowmeter using an ultrasonic sensor is provided to accurately measure a flow rate by detecting the transit time difference of ultrasonic waves emitted from two ultrasonic sensors and transmitted through the center of a fluid. CONSTITUTION: A flowmeter using an ultrasonic sensor comprises a sensor connecting bar(3) with ultrasonic sensors(1,2) on both ends and a float(4) installed on one end of the sensor connecting bar. The ultrasonic sensor opposite to the float is fixed on the central bottom surface of a fluid channel(5), while the sensor connecting bar is placed parallel to the length of the fluid channel. A flow rate is measured by emitting ultrasonic waves from the ultrasonic sensors and detecting the transit time difference of the two ultrasonic waves. Since the ultrasonic waves pass through the center of a fluid, precision is improved.
