PURPOSE: An apparatus for processing a wireless Internet service and a method therefor are provided to secure the mobility of a terminal and user information under wireless LAN(Local Area Network) environment and process an Internet service. CONSTITUTION: A network connection unit(34) transmits and receives a message necessary for a wireless Internet service with a wireless terminal through a wireless Internet, and provides traffic information to transmitted and received service process information to an operation management unit(35). A DBMS(DB Management System) manages a subscriber DB, an authentication DB, and an operation management DB, and provides state information according to the management. A DBMS connection unit(36) initializes the subscriber DB, the authentication DB, and the operation management DB, and backs up and recovers the subscriber DB, the authentication DB, and the operation management DB. An operator connection unit(40) informs a wireless Internet service performance result to an operator. A service management unit(38) a statistics process and operation information retrieval result to various traffic information and state information stored in the operation and management DB by the operation management unit(35) to the operator through the operator connection unit(40). A wireless Internet service process unit including a service process unit(31), an authentication process unit(32), and a subscriber management unit(33) secures the mobility of the wireless terminal to provide a mobile Internet service, and transmits traffic information to the wireless Internet service process to the operation management unit(35).
