The invention concerns a method for separating and drying microparticles initially dispersed in liquid phase comprising steps which consist in: providing a preparation comprising microparticles dispersed or suspended in liquid phase in a filtering vessel (12) arranged inside a chamber (6); filtering a fraction of the liquid phase (52) through the vessel in the chamber; and varying the temperature and the pressure in the entire chamber to freeze-dry the filtered preparation in the vessel maintained in the chamber.
