The electrical device has a printed circuit board (10) bearing the circuit in which there is also a power component (11) generating heat loss. In order to dissipate the heat loss from the power component, the latter is supported on a heat-conducting layer (13) which in turn is applied to the upper side (12) of the printed circuit board. On this heat conducting layer there is also a part of the cover (18, 19) of the casing serving as part of the cooling surface. The cooling surface may, however, also be an independent cooling element. The heat is conducted via the heat conducting layer (13) to the cooling element (18, 19) so that the latter can be fitted and shaped independently of the nature and shape of the power component.
