PURPOSE: Multistage shock absorbing structure for a front side of a vehicle is provided to prevent a pedestrian from being injured by keeping the rigidity of the vehicle body and absorbing and distributing impact efficiently. CONSTITUTION: A multistage shock absorber of a front side for a vehicle is composed of an upper inner apron(3) placed in a fender(2) bent to settle the side of an engine hood(1); an upper outer apron(4) combined with the upper inner apron by welding, and connected to a joint end(2a) of the fender by welding; a reinforcing member(5) placed in the upper outer apron; and an absorbing member(6) placed out of the upper outer apron. Impact is absorbed in the fender at a collision with a pedestrian, and distributed to the vehicle body through the absorbing member of the upper outer apron. The rigidity is increased with absorbing impact by the reinforcing member, and the injury of the pedestrian is minimized with absorbing and distributing shock efficiently.
