PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing environmental impact information, a recording medium recording the information, and a computer data signal are provided to collect and record information regarding various environmental impacts at an organization so as to contribute to the decision making with respect to the management of the organization. CONSTITUTION: The environmental management information system which obtains environmental impacts and facilitates environmental management at an organization, the system characterized by comprising an environmental impact information obtaining unit(25, 27, 29, 31, 33, 35) which obtains environmental impact information regarding an environmental impact at each of a plurality of processes included in activities of the organization, an environmental impact information collector(39) which collects the environmental impact information obtained by the environmental impact information obtaining unit (25, 27, 29, 31, 33, 35), an environmental impact information analyzer(39) which analyzes the environmental impact information collected by the environmental impact information collector(39), and obtains an reduction amount of the environmental impact, an investment calculator(37) which calculates an amount of investment for minimizing the environmental impact, and an accounting unit(43) which performs environmental accounting, based on the reduction amount of the environmental impact which is obtained by the environmental impact information analyzer(39) and the amount of investment which is calculated by the investment calculator(37).
