PURPOSE: An electronic door lock having electronic money transfer function is provided to offer convenience by integrating the function of a smart card as an electronic key and the function of electronic money transfer between smart cards. CONSTITUTION: The door lock(3) is operated by a smart card(1) and an external control device(2) consisting of an antenna(2a) receiving a signal from the smart card, a card reader/writer(2b) reading the information of the smart card and writing information thereon, an external key pad(2d) inputting a password and a function key, a security access module(2e) performing accessing for money charge and deposit in the smart card, an external display(2f) displaying information, a menu, and data, and a microprocessor(2c) controlling the entire components. If the smart card is in contact with the card reader, the microprocessor approves the card and the door lock is unlocked or locked. Upon selecting an electronic money transfer menu on the key pad, the card reader reads a key code of the smart card and verifies the card using the security access module. If the smart card is verified, the balance of the card is displayed. Then, the money is deposited in the card or is transferred.
