PURPOSE: A method for moving a washing tub of a washing machine is provided to incline a washing tub forwardly by applying power to a synchronization motor when a door is opened after finishing the washing operation and to restore the washing tub to an initial state, thereby improving the convenience of use. CONSTITUTION: A method for moving a washing tub of a washing machine includes the steps of sensing whether a washing operation is finished(1), sensing whether a door is opened after the finish of the washing operation is sensed(2), driving a synchronization motor by applying power to the motor if the door is opened(3), and recovering a washing tub to an initial state by applying an inverse power to the synchronization motor if the washing operation is initiated again after a predetermined time since the door is closed. |
