PURPOSE: A public opinion survey method using the preference strength estimation is provided to estimate and analyze the preference rank and strength for each user and survey target by receiving the preference strength from the user through a public opinion survey web site via the Internet. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a web server(110) having a pubic opinion survey site, a user terminal(100) connecting to a network such as the Internet, a database server(111) managing and controlling a member information, rank information and rank strength storage, and an affiliating store database server(116). The database controlled by the database server includes a member information storage(112) storing the personal information of registered members, a vote information storage(113) storing the preference strength input information for each survey target while executing the survey, a rank information storage(114) storing the rank information represented by the analysis of vote information, and a preference strength storage(115) for each survey target and user.
