The mobile ice-van has its power fed from fold-up solar collectors. A 12-Volt charging voltage is supplied from a charge-regulator, with an accumulator. The power is converted by means of inverted rectifiers from 12 to 230 Volts, enabling the ice-cream chest to be operated at a cold temperature of minus 16 degrees without further assistance from other power-carriers. |
