<p>A radiation therapy planning uses a beam commissioning (2.2) and Monte Carlo dose calculation (2.9). The dose is both measured at several points within an exposed phantom, and calculated using Monte Carlo simulation (2.9). The source model (2.3) is modified to make the simulated dose match the measured dose. Once the source is modelled, radiation therapy is simulated using models of the source (2.3), beam modifiers (2.5), and target material (2.5).</p> |
