The transparent sample shoe (1) consists of a cap (2) and an upper (3) detachably joined together. The toe-cap has holes in suspended from protuberances (7) on the shoe-upper. A transparent correction -film is preferably detachably fixed to the sample shoe by press-studs (13) preferably to the upper. The upper has a lining extending the entire length of the shoe. The size, width and base of the shoe are set, and the position of the toes checked by means of the transparent, pre-fabricated sample shoe . The correction values are transferred on the last corresponding to the shoe, and the shoe produced from the last adapted to the wishes of the shoe-wearer.
