Binary extracts are created, then set up to identify outlines and converted into image coordinates grouped into enclosed polygons that are reduced by mathematical processes to small amounts of data to reproduce shapes and outlines. Vectors that describe shapes for later re-conversion are put in a colour image described by coordinates and assembled from the binary areas.
