Voice filter system for a telephone network which categorises voice messages

The system includes a data network particularly a telephone network or the Internet, for transmitting spoken messages, with several connected participants who can be called up by means of a network code. A filter module is connected to one of the terminals. The filter examines input voice messages for the presence of a predetermined filter condition and categorises the messages with the condition e.g. according to key words, volume or phonemes. The filter may also sort messages according to voice characteristics e.g. degree of nervousness, age or sex of the caller. Independent claims also cover a method of sorting messages.
