PURPOSE: A system and a method for tuning a broadcasting signal receiver are provided to convert an RF spectrum transmission mode from a normal mode into an inverting mode to minimize DVT interference of neighboring NTSC signals. CONSTITUTION: A tuning system includes the first mixer(41), a filter(42), and the second mixer(44). The first mixer mixes a digital broadcasting signal of inverting mode with a predetermined oscillation frequency to transfer an upper NTSC broadcasting signal and a lower NTSC broadcasting signal transmitted from a transmitter to upward and downward, respectively so change the upper and lower signals into the inverting mode. The first mixer converts the digital broadcasting signal into a normal state. The filter attenuates the upper and lower NTSC broadcasting signals in the inverting state to a predetermined band and amplifies the digital broadcasting signal in the normal state to a predetermined band. The second mixer mixes the attenuated NTSC broadcasting signals and the amplified digital broadcasting signal with a predetermined oscillation frequency to down the signals to a predetermined frequency band.
