PURPOSE: A waste heat recovery apparatus for public bath is provided to reduce fuel consumption by employing a high performance heat exchanger, while allowing heat exchanger to be easily washed. CONSTITUTION: A waste heat recovery apparatus comprises a water reservoir(110) for storing and supplying water; a plate type heat exchanger(120) for pre-heating the water supplied from the water reservoir to a predetermined temperature, and receiving the waste hot water; a hot water storage tank(180) for storing the pre-heated water supplied from the heat exchanger; a boiler(130) for heating the pre-heated water stored in the hot water storage tank; a filter(170) for filtering impurities from the waste hot water prior to being supplied to the heat exchanger; a plurality of showers(140) for supplying hot water from the hot water storage tank; and a large bath tub(150).
