Device (1) for the injection of gas into a very hot medium in a container comprises a tube (2) for the injection of the gas and a refrigerating envelope (3) surrounding the injection tube. Independent claims are also included for methods for injecting gas into a very hot medium using this injection device and for using such a device for injecting chlorine or other gases into a bath of molten glass.
