The housing to accommodate a component has two identical halves fastened to the underside of a support component. The housing halves has encompassing walls (13-15) except on the side facing the underside of the support component. The component being accommodated in the housing is installed in its inner space (19) with clearance. The two housing halves are interconnected on the side facing away from underside of the support component. Each housing half has at least one fixing plate (16) on the side facing the underside of the support component.
