<p>A wholly aromatic polyester comprising 40 to 75 mole % of constituent units (I), 8.5 to 30 mole % of constituent units (II), 8.5 to 30 mole % of constituent units (III), and 0.1 to 8 mole % of constituent units (IV) wherein Ar1 is 2,6-naphthalene; Ar2 is at least one member selected from among 1,2-phenylene, 1,3-phenylene, and 1,4-phenylene; Ar3 is at least one member selected from among 1,3-phenylene, 1,4-phenylene and residues of compounds each bearing two or more phenylene units linked to each other at the para positions; and Ar4 is 1,4-phenylene.</p> |
