Prosthetic mitral heart valve consists of a support housing with a base ring (15) which supports two stanchions connected by curved walls for fixing two flexible blades. The free ends of the stanchion form an inner support for the blade. The plane on which the connecting line of the stanchions' tips and the shared lengthwise axis of the stanchions' base ring lie is tilted in relation to the plane lying vertically to the surface formed through the base ring and leading through the joint lengthwise axis.
