A machine (10) for vending products has enhanced features which include an indexing drive mechanism (16) drivingly coupled to a product storage magazine (14) at spaced apart lower and upper portions of magazine (14), the magazine (14) rotatably supported by a product separation fixture (18), a barrier plate (92) on the separation fixture (18) having a leading edge portion (92A) that is flexible to enable separation of a lowermost product from a product immediately above it, a resiliently yieldable mechanism (100) supported on the separation fixture (18) to impart a positive downwardly-directed force on the lowermost product that will push it downward toward an opening in a middle section of housing (12), and a slide delivery chute (16) disposed in a lower section of the housing (12) between a product discharge station (34) and the opening (39) of the housing (12) to deliver products to the discharge station (34). |
