The invention relates to a method for producing a polymer membrane on the basis of a polymer solution and to a corresponding polymer membrane. The method comprises the following steps: (a) producing a suspension from a solvent and at least one particulate solid, (b) shaping the membrane-forming polymer solution and the suspension, and (c) removing the solvent from the membrane-forming polymer solution and the suspension so produced. The polymer can be a uniform polymer or a mixed polymer. For obtaining a microfiltration membrane, (d) a highly concentrated polymer solution is used, (e) the solid is dispersed in the solvent, and (f) the polymer solution is mixed with the suspension in such a manner that the mixture so obtained is adjusted to the desired polymer concentration and the desired solid content.
