<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively cut assistance in a condition requiring no assistance, and start the assistance in a medium pedal effort level. SOLUTION: A pedal effort judging part 43, a low level counter 44 and a comparison part 45 are provided as a pedal effort detecting means for detecting that the pedal effort changes in an assistance-cut level. The judging part 43 detects a level of present pedal effort relative to a reference value of pedal effort, increases or decreases a counter value CNTBT according to the level of the pedal effort, and cuts the assistance when the counter value CNTBT comes to the reference value TTED. A peak value detecting part 46, a pedal effort level judging part 47 and an assist counter 48 are provided as a pedal effort fluctuation level detecting means for detecting a pedal effort fluctuation in the vicinity of a predetermined assisting level, and the assistance is started when it is determined by a counter value in the counter 48 that the pedal effort exceeds the predetermined level continuously.</p> |
