PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such failure that paper gets irregular in a paper ejection tray or paper falls out from the paper ejection tray in the case of increasing paper carrying speed after paper passes through a fixing device in order to shorten FCT. SOLUTION: The paper is carried at 1st carrying speed until it passes through the fixing device 6, and the paper already passed through the device 6 is carried at 2nd carrying speed higher than the 1st carrying speed by ejected paper carrying means 9 to 16. In a sta e where at least the trailing edge of the paper is ejected to the paper ejection tray 81 from the carrying means 9 to 16, the carrying speed of at least the most downstream member 16 of the carrying means 9 to 16 is decreased to 3rd carrying speed lower than the 2nd carrying speed.
