PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow long-time supply of electric power from a battery power source so as to remove restriction of installation position. SOLUTION: The carbon monoxide detector is provided with a carbon monoxide detection part 7 heated to a fixed temperature for exhibiting carbon monoxide detecting ability and outputting the detection concentration in the voltage form, a heater 5 arranged in the vicinity of the carbon monoxide detection part, and a relay contact 12 controlling the current conduction to the heater 5. When a carbon monoxide concentration is low, current conduction is performed intermittently to the heater 5, while it is performed continuously in the case of high concentration. In this way, carbon monoxide can be detected with high precision while the power consumption can be lowered. |
