PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily match characters and sounds by combining pictures of onomatopoeia familiar to the Japanese and graphics to provide hints for the sounds with the characters and sounds expressed by phonics. SOLUTION: The pictures enabling users to imagine the sounds meeting the characters (combinations of one character or two characters of alphabet) of the phonics are combined. These combinations are formed as cards and only the characters of the phonics are stated on the rear surfaces, by which the karuta (cards; traditional Japanese playing cards) are formed. Explanations for instructors are attached thereto. (The cards are 44 sheets as a whole).
