PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify piping for intake air and cooling water on an overhead valve type V type two cylinder engine and accordingly to compact engine dimensions. SOLUTION: Push rods 15, 16 to drive suction and exhaust valves of each of cylinders are arranged to open wider toward the side of a valve arm chamber, a suction port 24 to open toward the inside of a V bank is formed between the push rods 15, 16, and the suction port 24 of each of the cylinders is connected to a carburetor in the V bank through a suction passage formed in the V bank. Additionally, a cooling water jacket outlet 25 is opened with the suction port 24 between the push rods 15, 16 of each of the cylinders, and the cooling water jacket outlet 25 of the both cylinders is communicated to the suction passage by the adjacent cooling water passage.
