POLYESTER STAPLE FIBER AND SPUN YARN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-shrinkable polyester staple fiber having high shrinking force, little in stress relaxation by heat in a post-processing and especially suitable for differently shrinkable blend yarns. SOLUTION: The high-shrinkable polyester staple fiber is isophthalic acid- copolymerized polyester fiber. It has hollow cross-sectional shapes or cross-sectional shapes having a degree of irregularity of >=1.8, a boiling water shrinking percentage of >=30% and the maximum heat stress by dry heat at 60-160 deg.C of >=0.12 cN/dtex.
