PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross-linked thermoplastic resin foam in which laminar silicate flakes are uniformly dispersed in the thermoplastic resin and which has a low linear expansion rate and a high foaming ratio. SOLUTION: This thermoplastic resin cross-linked foam comprising 100 pts.wt. of the thermoplastic resin, 1 to 50 pts.wt. of a laminar silicate and 1 to 50 pts.wt. of an acid-modified polyolefin-based resin, characterized in that the average distance between the flakes of the laminar silicate is >=6 nm detected by an X-ray diffraction measurement. The laminar silicate is homogeneously dispersed in the thermoplastic resin in a state that the interactions between the flakes are small due to the average distance of >=6 nm between the flakes and in a state that the affinity of the thermoplastic resin with the laminar silicate has been improved due to the acid-modified polyolefin. Thereby, the cross-linked thermoplastic resin foam has a low linear expansion rate and a high foaming rate, and is suitably used as the core of an interior of an automobile.
