PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of remarkably reducing manufacturing cost of a connector required for use at the coolant inlet and outlet of a small engine and the connector manufactured by the method. SOLUTION: A steel plate 1 having an anticorrosive film of at least 12μm in thickness adhered to both faces 2 and 3 thereof is used as a material. The material is drawn by a press metal mold, and finished into a slender cylinder by turning. One end of the cylinder is finished within the outer diameter tolerance of±0.025 mm, and at least one of projections 10 and 11 for hose extraction prevention is formed annularly at the other end. The thickness of the film on the inner and outer surfaces of the cylinder after forming is maintained at 10μm or thicker.
