PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient high frequency heater which can gauge the temperature of food accurately. SOLUTION: This high frequency heater is equipped with a heating chamber 17 which stores food 22, a magnetron 18 which heats the food 22 by generating high frequency, a power supply port 20 which irradiates the bottom of the heating chamber 17b with high frequency generated from the magnetron 18, and a thermopile array module 10 which gauges the temperature of the food 22 out of contact, and each temperature gauging region 4a is made smaller than the size of the power supply port 20.
