PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and an image forming method where the time for a first copy can be shortened by enabling potential control immediately after starting of the copying. SOLUTION: In the device, a photosensitive drum 1 where a latent image is formed by being exposed, an electrifying magnetic brush electrifying device 2 to electrify the photosensitive drum 1 and a main destaticizing radiation device 8 radiating light to erase optical memory in the photosensitive drum 1 are provided and the photosensitive drum 1 is irradiated by an amount of exposure that is more than the minimum amount of exposure to erase the optical memory in at least one part of a radiating process by the main destaticizing radiation device 8. |
