<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet type friction engagement device of high performance embodied in a small-sized, lightweight construction in which the clutch capacity in the engaged condition is increased by using the friction force obtained by an auxiliary piston as the assist for clutch capacity while theμ-v performance of the dynamic friction coefficient during engagement is left unchanged. SOLUTION: The wet type friction engagement device is equipped with a clutch case, a hub installed on the inside of the clutch case and making relative rotation on the same axis, first plates installed on the inside of the clutch case, second plates installed at the periphery of the hub in alternate arrangement in axial direction with the first plates, and a first piston and second piston to press the first and second plates, wherein the first piston and second piston operate independently.</p> |
