摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more accurately estimate the distance and speed of a target regardless of the range, short or long. SOLUTION: A reflected signal from a target 10 of a high frequency signal undergoing a frequency modulation so as to have an up phase and a down phase is received by two receiving antennas 26a and 26b arranged at different positions to detect the azimuth of the target 10 from respective echoes of the up and down phases obtained by the frequency analysis of beat signals. When the azimuth detected by using the echo with a lower frequency is not in an allowable range with respect to the azimuth detected by using the echo with a high frequency out of those of the respective phases, the echo with the lower frequency is determined to be returned back at the lower limit of a detection frequency range and the frequency of the echo is multiplied by -1 for correction to compute the distance and the relative speed by using the corrected echo. This can prevent erroneous detection as generated based on the return of the echo when the target is located at a nearby position.</p>
