PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a watercolor composition causing no medium segregation under long-term preservation at high temperatures. SOLUTION: This watercolor composition is obtained by incorporating a watercolor composition comprising a water-based resin emulsion and a water-soluble resin with >=0.1 wt.%, based on the whole composition, of a polyurethane- based associative thickening agent, wherein the active ingredient of the thickening agent is contained at 0.7-107 wt.% based on the solids of the water-based resin emulsion.
