Based on the results of the detection of a unique word in a received signal with a unique word detecting portion 901 and the detection of a correct CRC in a received signal with a CRC calculating portion 902, a microprocessor portion 904 sends a reset signal 916 to a timer portion 903. The reset signal 916 resets the timer of the timer portion 903, and causes the timer portion 903 to send a field strength measurement timing signal 912 to a field strength measuring portion 905. The timer portion 903 then automatically keeps track of the data slot timing and outputs the field strength measurement timing signal 912 at every cycle of desired time-slot. Thus, the reliability of measuring the field strength of received radio wave for the desired station in a time-division multiple access can be improved, even if there is interference from other stations.
